PUNCAK - A shining example of military solidarity and community empowerment, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, operating under the Indonesian Armed Forces’ HABEMA Operational Command, have initiated an impactful program called “ROSITA” (Buy Up Farming Products). This initiative is taking place at the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border in Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province.
On Monday, December 16, 2024, the 323 Task Forces, led by First Lieutenant Caroko from the Pintu Jawa Post, extended a helping hand to the farmers of Amuleme Village, Mageabume District. By purchasing their agricultural products, the Soldiers provided both financial support and a sense of solidarity to the local community.
Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, Commander of the 323 Task Forces, emphasized the critical importance of supporting the livelihoods of communities near their posts. "Our duty is not just to safeguard the nation but to connect with the people we protect. By supporting their economy, we are ensuring their well-being and fostering trust, " he stated.
The program is unique in its approach: Soldiers used their personal funds to buy vegetables, fruits, and other local products directly from the villagers. These purchases were integrated into their daily meal preparations, creating a meaningful exchange.
